new job

okay so i know i said i would put pics up. but i seriously havent had time. I will take one tonight and post it, haha. here is what is new with me.... I started a new job and its really a lot of fun. Its a Japanese hibachi place and sushi bar. Its a lot of work though. It just opened last monday and i have been working everyday. here is what i do...
I get there about ten (nine on wed and Thursdays) First thing i do is get a big pan thats about four inches deep and over fill it with steamed rice get a bunch of eggs and veggies and go put it out on one of the hibachi grills so a chef can cook it (the hibachi grill is when the chef come out and cooks in front of you) then i cut about thirty cucumbers and two huge bowls of lemons and two bowls of tomato's so i can make at least eighty salads (which will only last till about 1230. and we open at 11)
I have to heat up the sauce for... well actually i dont know what its for i just know i have to heat it up.
then i fill all the dressing jars-there is 10. getting the dressing is the hardest part. Why you ask? because i have to get into the walk in and find it. Our walkin is TINY and nothing is where you would think it is. If you ask one of the kitchen guys they will walk in there with no difficulties and get whatever you need like it doesnt weigh eighty five million pounds. when i try to do it i often get stuff and end up tied in a knot trying to lift something. when i finally make it back out nine times out of ten i find out i grabbed the wrong thing... i am getting better. At finding stuff. not at getting stuck. The chefs all think its hilarious.
then i make tea and about fifty or more soups(which again will be gone by 1230) i have to get out the edemame(soy beans) and put them on ice.then i fill all the soy sauce while watching my friend cook the fried rice.
when all thats done i put my uniform on-technically i am sopposed to have it on this whole time... but i dont like to so i dont.- and make sure my tables are clean and all that.
Then we open and its CRAZY! I usually only do hibachi so its not hard. I have two tables that can hold twelve people each and they always have at least ten. I get the drinks then i take there order and go get there salad. which i have to get on this tray thats bigger then me. I have tokneel down to get enough leverage toget it on my shoulder. i am getting super good at it though. I can get it with one hand now. which if you saw this tray you would understand how impressive it is.
I burn myself atleat twice a day on the grill cuz i am not tall enough to reach over it to hand people there stuff. also i forget its hot. Even though i am the one who turns it on...
Then the chef comes out and i watch the show. I still really like watching them. and i have seen over a hundred for sure. I still always jump when my friend slaps the knife on the rim. and when then they throw the empty egg. each cook has kinda there own show. They do a lot of the same but in there own way. Its fun.
At the end of the night we turn off all the hibachis clean up all the rice(which is everywhere) clean all the tea and pop area. I have to clean out the salad cooler and the dessert area and the rice makers. and clean all the trays and all that. pretty much everything idid that morning but in reverse. I usually get out of there at eleven-eleven thirty at night. its a long day.
but we are all friends now. Mostly cuz we all havent had time to have a life, or sleep, so we all kinda lean on each other to make it trhough the day. our poor cooks never stop going. My boss is really cool. He gets stressed during our rushes but by the end of the night hes joking with us. My managers are way cool too. We all goof off together. its a lot of fun. by the end of the night we are all hanging out in the back just munching of whatever the one cook who doesn't talk, well i assume he talks but i have never heard him, made.
Im past the point where im tired and sore and im just numb now. Since last Tuesday i have worked ninety two hours. and lost over ten pounds and three pant sizes. also i have learned that those five hour energy shots really work. I am a kinda bizarre person to begin with and always am kinda going to my own beat. Well when i take one of those i really cant sit still. One of the girls at work asked me why i walk so funny. Haha. I dont. Im just loopy from no sleep and hyper from taking those to stay awake. Haha. But the last couple days i think people have figured it out. cuz they start walking/dancing/whatever you call it that i do right along with me. haha. That or we have all lost our minds.. haha.
I am really enjoying it though. I have even tried Sushi! the raw stuff. It wasn't bad. Im not saying i am going to eat it everyday. but now know i could eat it without dying haha. I am also trying to branch out on eating the sushi rolls. But for some reason those freak me out. probably cuz the chefs keep freaking me out by walking up behind me with crabs and squid and octopus. ggggggaaaaagggg.
So today is my first day off. And i couldn't be more excited. But i have no idea what to do. I am going to clean my house and go get my nails done. and i probably should go grocery shopping. and not put any makeup on. haha. but i feel kinda lost. Its weird. I will put pics up of my uniform tonight.

Long week.

Okay so i dont have any pictures for this week. But it has been a very long weekso i decided i would give an update.

Monday Frank got to go pick out all new things for the gally that they are remodeling this week and i worked.

Tuesday we drove an hour to my doctors office to get all my bloodwork and checkups done. then went out to eat. AND DUMM DA DU DUMMMM Frank quit smoking!

Wednesday we went to a food show in Houston with Frank boss and by that night i wanted to kill him. He is not a nice person when he wants to smoke.

Thursday was the first day of two weeks that frank would have to work every day so by the time he made it home that night he was tired and very mean.

Friday we had to go back to the doctor because this time the right one would be there. We got all my blood back and of course my TSH is low again so i have to go back in two weeks. but thats nothing new.

So that brings us to Saturday. Nothing exciting happened Saturday or Sunday expect frank is getting a little less testy.

Or so i thought till Monday morning when i asked when he was going to take a shower and he blew up. apparently he is meaner in the morning. I hadn't noticed because He usually leaves while i am still asleep but this is the week they are tearing the gally down and putting it back together but bigger and nicer so he didnt have to go to work till ten. So we got ready for work together

Last night Frank decided to spend the night at work so they could get more done (the faster they get done the more days they get off) so i got a lot done here. I cleaned the carpet in the family room. worked on laundry and went to bed early. IT was a very relaxing night.

So thats what happened this week. not super exciting. But for me it was very busy. Hope everyone elses week went good too! and i promise next post will have pictures!

MR hendrix

Okay so i dont have any kids and nothing super exciting happens at our house. So when anything does i take advantage of it. It was Hendrix birthday on saturday. He turned two . And yes he is my dog but if it werent for him id go crazy. We didnt have a party (Honestly we would have if i had looked at the calender at least once the week before... )But i did get his a gift and gave it to him while frank wasnt home. Cuz frank tends to steal them and take the noise makers out... Even thoguh the noise makers only last about five minutes. He has very sharp teeth. and he loved it. SO here are some pics of him killing his toy!

I decided its been a while since i updated my blog. I dont have any pictured to go with it though. So sorry about that. I havent uploaded new ones yet. next timei will though.
nothing really new is going on with us. Frank finally got his glasses in augest. The ones that he ordered last december. Gotta love the Military. So he is Finally out of his BC glasses, and very grateful!
In september Our friends Ren and Monica came up and visited for labor day. It was a lot of fun. We went out to I-Hop and the got sick. On sunday i started having a horrible tummy ache and thoguth i was just regretting eating there too. But by monday morning i had a cough and sore throat and pounding head. By monday night i was SICK! they had left that morning so i stayed in bed and felt like dying. for the next two days my temp didnt drop below 101 and i was missrable . I couldnt get up to do anything cuz i was so week and it would make me so dizzy. Finally wed i had had enough and frank took me to the ER. wher ei waited Four hours to see someone. Wehn the doctor finally came in she didnt even take my temp. She said you have the flu and handed me a script for a Z-Pac and walked out befor i had time to tell her i cant take Z-Pacs. so i went home mad that i had waisted four hours. its took about another week for me to get over it completly. So September was not a fun month.
This last week though we did go visit my parents so that was fun. we stayed five day. Me and Mom went shopping for Autumn decorations one day then another me, dad, Brandon, Devon, Frank, Ren and Brandons girlfriend went shooting. It was a whole lot of fun.
I also got my glasses fixed!!!! WOOHOOO! they broke back in January and i had contacts for emergencies but they were in my purse and when i put my purse on the top of the car they fell out and baked on the roof of the car for two day. So they dried up. I didnt really wear them though cuz my eyes just get irritated really easy. So i have been seeing everything a little fuzzy for a while. I didnt want to get new glasses because i loved my old frame. They fit just perfect. My eye lashes didnt hit the glass. They didnt put a lto of pressure on my nose and they fit my eyes just right. I knew i would never find a pair i liked that much. Thats why its been three years since i got them. Thankfully dad was able to get them fixed! so now i can see again! WOOHOO

Franks 22 Birthday.

I think i am getting the hang of this... Maybe

Yesterday was Franks Birthday. We didn't do much because he had to work. But he had already gotten his present last week because it was a griddle and i was hungry... so i gave it to him early to get him to make me something. It worked. He made Burgers. and Getting the griddle put him in a cook at home mood because he made ribs too! in our oven that only works half the time so we ate dinner at eleven at night. haha. but it was worth it! They where AMAZING!

So we had ice cream cake yesterday but i forgot to make him blow out candles! When i remembered i was getting ready for bed so i went and got a Cinnamon roll out of the doughnut box and put the last two candle on it and made him blow it out. and we are going to see District nine tonight as the real celebration.

DEVONS BIRTHDAY!

Well today was Devons eighth birthday!Frank had duty this weekend so he was not able to come with me to palestine to celebrate. But cathrine grandma and Chris and Rainies family did get to come!

I Went to pick Cathrine up from the airport and agter getting lost for an hour i discovered i was at the wrong airport! so i had to hall across houston and finally picked her up! then we had a three hour drive ahead of us. It was a long night. We finally got in at two in the morning crashed out and made it to church on time!

Devon was baptized after church by my dad and then comfirmed by dad. Brandon and Chris where the witnesses. It was nice to get to share that with everyone!

then we came home and had dinner and cake. While we where all sitting aorund chatting brandons Friend austin was trying to see if he could crack an egg in his hand. it worked. And shot all over rainie! she got covered in egg. We all laughed while trying to clean her off! Sorry Rainie!

All in all it was a very good day. We missed scott being there but he did somehow show up in a few pics.... haha.

COAST GUARD DAY!

July 31.2009 was national Coast Guard day. which ment we had to spend the day at the park and hang out with all the other coasties and there families. there was football and fishing and a BBQ and to franks pleasure a hotdog eating contest. He took second... and spent the rest of the night sick. haha. it actually turned out to be a better day then i thought it would be!

Vaca to palestine

Well since everyone else got to go to the reunion Frank and I decided to go stay at mom and dads house while they where away! We got to spend time with friends and hang out. It was a lot of fun! We miss spending time with all of them! here are a few pics.

Fourth of July 2009

FOURTH OF JULY!!! Well this weekend just showed that no matter how much you plan it doesn't always go how you want! The plan was for my family to come up to Houston and get a hotel so we could go up on Friday to go shopping and all that then saturday night go see the fireworks. well... Wednesday mom called and dad was in the hospital with a kidney stone-story of his life- so we would have to see how he is feeling thursday to decided if they where still coming up. friday morning they left for Houston and got about twenty miles and had to turn around cuz dad couldn't do it. So they went home for him to recover. so now we were plan-less. Frank decided to go to a BBQ at his bosses house. so i attempted to make Rices crispy treats but they didn't turn out so great so frank had to make a new batch and a batch of cookies. The BBQ was pretty fun. There was new born babies there so i go to play with them! Then we went out to the beach after dark to light off fireworks of our own. It was a lot of fun even if Frank did try to light my hair on fire! haha. I hope everyones fourth was fun! and Thank you to all our Men and Women fighting for us!!!!

Fathers Day 2009

The

Family came up to our house for fathers day! It was a lot of fun. they got in late friday, mom and dad Dropped Brandon and Devon at out house so they could stay with us then mom and dad went to a hotel. It was really good to see them! Saturday we went to the beach, well mom devon and i did. Frank had to work and dad and brandon didn't want to go. After that we went home and got ready for dinner.

Frank made a nice lunch for dad on sunday. We had Brazilian salmon and a cake. Devon, who had spent the night again with me sat night, got really sick and i was up taking care of his throw up all night. Yay.... I had been sick that whole week so i think maybe he caught it. poor boy. anyway after lunch they headed home. Here are some pics from the weekend!
